How Do I Apply to Study Abroad?

Applying to study abroad is a two-step process that involves both Berea College and the program sponsor:

1. First, apply to Berea for permission to study abroad (see also: Slideshow of Application Process):

   1. Log in to Abroad Office (or create an account).  Be sure to complete your profile, including citizenship, student ID (B number), and emergency contact.
      
   2. Find the program to which you wish to apply (i.e., Berea Term Abroad, Berea International Summer Term, or Summer Abroad).
   3. Apply by clicking on the "Apply" link next to the program listing.
   4. Submit each required form.
      (Note: On the My Applications screen, click on the "X out of X" link in the "Online Application Forms" column to view the list of required forms. Click on the name of each form to fill in the required fields, then on the "Save" button to submit the form. To return to the list of forms, click on the name of the program at the top of the form.)

2. Second, apply to the sponsor for admission to the program.
   (Note: For Berea International Summer Term [BIST] courses, this step is incorporated into 1d above.)
