Application Statuses Explained
Wondering what your application status means? This handy guide explains the meaning of each status:
- Applied
- Initial status once you have clicked "Apply" next to a program listing, which begins the campus application process.
- Review
- Once all your Application Forms (i.e., the required forms) for the campus application have been submitted, including your transcript and recommendations, Abroad Office automatically changes your application status to "review."
- Approved
- Once your campus application has been reviewed and approved, the Education Abroad Team manually changes your status to "approved." This indicates that you have permission from Berea College to study abroad but does not guarantee that you will actually be admitted to the program.
- Admitted
- Once you have provided confirmation of acceptance to the program, the Education Abroad Team manually changes your status to "admitted."
- Student
- Based on the program dates in Abroad Office, your application status changes automatically to "student," which indicates that the program is in progress.
- Completed
- Based on the program dates in Abroad Office, your application status changes automatically to "completed," which indicates the end of the program.
- Withdrawn
- Indicates that you have withdrawn from the program (may be changed by the Education Abroad Team or the applicant).
- Closed
- Indicates that you were not admitted to the program or that you were ineligible for consideration (e.g., because you were on probation or your application was incomplete).
